Have you seen all the Emotional Support Chickens being made all over the knitting world? Let's make one together!

We'll meet for 3 Wednesdays - October 2, 9, and 16 from 5:30 to 7:00 and create our unique chickens together. This is a Make-A-Long, not a class - so you will get support and guidance from your fellow makers and those of us who have made them before, but it's not a class with formal instruction:)

A special bonus! - Jan Hanson, who has made several of these adorable chickens, created an option for the bottom panel where you can place an egg (felted or knitted/crocheted) and she will share it with us! Jan will be joining us to share all her tips and secrets:)

2 options for the Make-A-Long: There is a paid option which includes eyes, stuffing, and yarn for the beak and comb. If you already have these and would like to join, then sign up for the free option.

*Please purchase your yarn for this project from Noma Knits - we have tons of fun options. Jan knit hers using Noro Kureon and Marie knit hers using Noro Silk Garden. We have plenty of this yarn in stock, plus other options as well. We're happy to help you pick yarn. You need about 220 yards for the chicken. We'll also have bits of yarn available for everyone to add stripes or fun bits of color to their chicken.

You should purchase the pattern on Ravelry and print it out before coming to the first meeting. The pattern is called The Emotional Support Chicken, by Annette Corsino of The Knitting Tree LA. There is a knit version, as well as a crochet version:)
