Workshop: Very Visible Mending for Knitwear - Celebrate the wear in what you wear
In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore the art and practicality of visible mending - a beautiful, sustainable way to give your favorite knit garments new life. Whether you're patching a well-loved sweater or reinforcing the heels of cherished socks, this session will guide you through thoughtful repair techniques that highlight - rather than hide - the history of your clothing.
What you'll learn:
- Practical methods for mending fabrics
- How to asses damage and choose the best repair approach
- Woven darning techniques and their many uses
- The role of fiber content in repair and garment care
- How to make mending both functional and decorative
We'll begin with a demonstration of core techniques, followed by hands-on time to apply what you've learned to your own knit item, with personalized guidance throughout.
