Whether you’re completely new to fiber arts or already love working with wool, this beginner-friendly workshop is a fun introduction to the art of needle felting. During our 2.5 hours together you’ll learn how to turn soft, colorful wool into a charming handmade ornament through needle felting.
Beginners will love how forgiving needle felting is and how easy it is to experiment without worrying about getting everything right the first try. And for more experienced fiber artists, there’s plenty of room to play! With a beautiful rainbow of wool and a variety of embellishments to choose from, you can experiment with color, texture, details, and techniques while picking up a few new tips and tricks along the way.
We’ll work step-by-step through the basics of needle felting to create one finished ornament. If you finish your first ornament early, you can jump right into a second one. No matter your speed, everyone will get a second wool ball to take home! So you can keep creating and finish another ornament at your own pace.

What You’ll Need
Please purchase an 8-needle felting tool from Noma Knits before class
Leather finger guards will be provided for use during the workshop. If you find yourself wanting your own pair, they’ll also be available for purchase at the end of class.
All skill levels welcome! No previous needle-felting experience is necessary -just bring your curiosity and creativity.
