In this hands on workshop you’ll learn two foundational techniques used to repair hand knit and commercial knit fabrics: Needle Felting and Woven Darning
Topics covered will include:
-Visible mending vs. Invisible mending
-Mending tools and where to find them
-Fiber content and it’s role in mending
-Caring for your mends
You are welcome to bring in a personal item to mend but you can also practice your awesome new skills on second hand knit fabrics provided in class.
*If you are bringing in your own knitwear to mend, please note that the woven darn works well on yarns of all fiber content, while the needle felting technique is best suited for yarn made of at least 25% wool.
