In this hands on workshop you’ll learn two foundational techniques used to repair or decorate your denim: woven darning and seed stitch reinforcement
Topics covered will include:
-Visible mending vs. Invisible mending
-How to assess which type of mend works for different situations
-Mending tools and where to find them
-Needle and thread types
-Caring for your mended garments
You are welcome to bring in a personal item to mend but you can also practice your awesome new skills on denim swatches that will be provided (which make great patches for future mends!)
Clover Sashiko needles to be purchased before class. All other supplies will be provided.
